Growth without borders
2009 saw the opening of the first IMS store in the United States, IMS USA LLC, based in Wilmington, North Carolina. In 2014, Machtechsolution, based in the Czech Republic, joined the group as a sales hub for Eastern European customers. In 2016, IMS Tecnica, based in Valencia, was founded to foster the brand's growth in the Iberian Peninsula.
Following international expansion, the historic Italian headquarters also underwent a radical expansion with the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art facility in the summer of 2017.

IMS was founded in 1969 in Sommariva Bosco, province of Cuneo, on the initiative of the entrepreneur Giuseppe Aprà .

IMS production focuses mainly on milling tool holders and is complemented by a wide range of accessories and components.
